Generals F.A.Q.
1) How can I choose my tour?
On the "Langhe and Monferrato Tour" page, choose the vehicle you prefer and take a look at the various "tour drafts". Once you have chosen the one that inspires you the most, send me a request for availability and the various extra activities to be confirmed that can be added to the final tour: if the day is free, I will send you the details so you can book it. If not, we will look for another date together!
2) Why "tour drafts"?
Each tour on the site is in a "draft" state, which means that it can be customized based on the number of participants, the area you want to visit, the time requirements, the group's ability, etc. From this base of departure therefore, routes and times will be modified according to the experiences you want to have during the day. If you don't have special needs, the "drafts" will become your final tour!
3) How much does an excursion cost? What does it include?
Each tour has a different rate based on the area, technical difficulty, etc. The rate displayed on the site includes the accompanying service and planning of the tour, while in general services such as vehicle rental, tastings and activities, insurance, etc. are not included. which will be paid directly to the various service providers.
4) When and how can I pay for the excursion?
The excursion must be paid in advance by bank transfer as regards the guide fee. Any rentals and extra activities will be paid on site directly to the supplier except in special cases (groups of more than 4 people, etc...)
5) I want to cancel an excursion, is it possible?
You can cancel free of charge with a full refund of the guide/planning fee up to 1 month before the excursion. In the event of a no-show or cancellation by the participants after that deadline, the amount paid cannot be refunded but, at the discretion of the organization, a coupon of the same paid value valid for a new excursion within the year may be issued in progress.
6) And if it rains???
In case of light rain or overcast skies, the excursions will take place on a regular basis. In the event of conditions that will not allow the day to be carried out in safety conditions (heavy showers or forecast of thunderstorms, etc.), the excursion may be canceled by the organizer with a full refund of the fare paid. Please note: in summer and autumn, afternoon thunderstorms are commonplace and unpredictable: in the event of violent showers while the excursion is in progress, there is no right to refunds.
7) Can I rent e-bikes, vespas etc... and do the tour without a guide?
Unfortunately no, I don't have any rental vehicles available but I only rely on professionals in the sector for my excursions, chosen by me from time to time based on the tour we will have to carry out and their availability. The guide will be therealwaysand it will be me, the same one who planned the whole day for you, in order to always have everything under control and make you appreciate your excursion to the fullest!
8) If I want to do more consecutive days?
No problem! The days can be combined and it is possible to visit different areas. Each excursion is counted as a single excursion, therefore each day will have its own starting point with its own program and timetable.
9) I have my own E-bike or Vespa: can I take part in the tours?
Absolutely yes!!! If some members of the group or even the whole group have their own means at their disposal, you can choose to leave wherever you are, at the hotel or at the start of a route designed by me.
10) If I want to leave from my hotel is it possible?
Certainly, with a small surcharge for the transport of E-bikes or Vespas at the discretion of the renter in case you need the means, or free of charge if all the means at your disposal are already present at your facility (owned or rented directly from hotels).
F.A.Q. E-bike
1) I've never ridden an e-bike, is it difficult?
No, it's not difficult, and I'll be with you to show you how best to use the gearbox and engine to avoid mechanical problems
2) Is it true that with the E-bike it's not hard?
No, it's not true, the e-bike engine helps you on challenging climbs and lightens your pedaling over long stretches, but it's still a sport and should be tackled as such.
3) How do I figure out which tour is right for me?
The proposed tours have various levels from 1 to 5: after a self-assessment on your physical/technical abilities, please choose the one that is closest to your experience with road and off-road cycling
4) I want to visit an area but the tour is too easy/difficult for me…
No problem: tell me when booking and I will increase/decrease the technical level to get closer to your experience.
5) I want to take a tour through the vineyards, are they easy?
Vineyards are workplaces and rural areas that cover a large area of our territory. Entering the rows of vines is an exciting and satisfying experience, but not for everyone: more often than not you come across rough and steep terrain, recommended only for those with advanced mountain bike riding techniques. It will therefore be possible to do them, but only with trained and experienced people and with small groups. Furthermore, the utmost respect for the crops is mandatory: detaching bunches or causing damage to the vineyards during an excursion will cause the immediate conclusion of the tour without the right to reimbursement.
6) And if it rains or has it rained the previous days???
If the tour takes place on land, the route may vary and/or the renter may request a supplement for bike washing.
7) We have started the tour but we are already tired in the middle, how can we do it?
In general, the rentals have the "bike + customer recovery" service available, with a surcharge that varies according to the mileage they have traveled to come and collect us. Don't worry though: most of the tours are designed in a loop, so in case you get tired, at any moment you can return briefly to the base without any effort.
8) Can I drink alcohol?
The amount of alcohol intake is entrusted to the common sense of each of the participants. In general, during the tastings in the cellar the quantity of wine is low and containers are available to empty the glasses that you do not want to finish. If a participant is unable to continue a tour due to a clear state of impairment due to alcohol abuse, he will be automatically excluded from the tour without the right to a refund.
9) And what about the helmet?
The helmet is ALWAYS mandatory during excursions and is ALWAYS supplied during a rental. If you have your own vehicle, make sure you bring it with you!!!
10) Are knee pads, elbow pads and protections in general mandatory?
No, they are not mandatory as none of the proposed tours will take place in bike parks or downhill slopes.
10) I have my own E-bike: can I take part in the tours?
Absolutely yes!!! If some members of the group or even the whole group have their own means at their disposal, you can choose to leave wherever you are, at the hotel or at the start of a route designed by me.
11) If I want to leave from my hotel is it possible?
Of course, with a small surcharge for transport to the place of departure at the hirer's discretion in case you need the vehicles, or free of charge if all the vehicles at your disposal are already present at your facility (owned or rented directly from the hotel).
12) What if I damage the bike?
Each rental has its own policy regarding mechanical damage or accidents: during the booking process you will be given contact with the renter in order to clarify these delicate aspects.
13) Are children allowed?
Yes, children are allowed but there are no E-bikes under size 24 inches. Therefore, if there are children under 1.50m in height, a special route will be designed with the possibility of adding special trolleys or seats to the e-bike of an adult participant.
F.A.Q. Vespa
1) I've never ridden a Vespa, is it difficult?
Tour participants who do not have experience, even minimal, of driving any type of scooter or motorcycle are not admitted: the tours are NOT a driving school, therefore they will not be taught to use any vehicle on the road. Having said that, the Vespa is a single speed scooter, so if you have experience on motorcycles or scooters in general, driving it is very easy and fun.

The Vespas for hire are all 125cc single-speed, so by law it is mandatory to have at least a B driving licence.
3) I'm a foreigner, what driving license do I need?
The B license is valid at European level or an international license for those coming from a non-EU country.
4) How do I figure out which tour is right for me?
The proposed tours have various levels from 1 to 5: after a self-assessment on your technical driving skills, please choose the one that comes closest to your experience on two wheels. High difficulty tours are usually long, high mileage and winding roads, low difficulty tours have many stops and a very low average speed.
5) I want to visit an area but the tour is too difficult for me…
Unfortunately all rentals revolve around the city of Alba. If you are not an expert, it is advisable to choose a simple tour to avoid problems.
6) What if we have problems with the scooter/accidents?
Each rental has its own policy regarding mechanical damage or accidents: during the booking process you will be given contact with the renter in order to clarify these delicate aspects.
7) Can the tour be done in the wet???
Of course, driving will be more delicate but there is no problem doing the tour on wet asphalt.

If a participant is unable to continue a tour due to a clear state of impairment due to alcohol abuse, he will be automatically excluded from the tour without the right to a refund.
10) And what about the helmet?
The helmet is ALWAYS mandatory during excursions and is ALWAYS supplied during a rental. If you have your own vehicle, make sure you bring it with you!!!

Absolutely yes!!! If some members of the group or even the whole group have their own means at their disposal, you can choose to leave wherever you are, at the hotel or at the start of a route designed by me.
13) If I want to leave from my hotel is it possible?
Of course, with a small surcharge for transport to the place of departure at the hirer's discretion in case you need the means, or free of charge if all the means at your disposal are already present at your facility (owned or rented directly from the hotel) .
F.A.Q. Quad
1) I've never ridden a Quad, is it difficult?
The Quad is a quadricycle that has characteristics similar to cars and motorcycles in that it has four wheels but a handlebar. It is not difficult to drive it but you have to pay close attention to the briefing during the tour in case it is the first time you try it.
2) What license do you need to drive the Quad?
A driving license B is mandatory.
3) I'm a foreigner, what driving license do I need?
The B license is valid at European level or an international license for those coming from a non-EU country.

Of course, driving will be more gentle and fun and there's no problem doing the tour on wet asphalt.
6) We have started the tour but we are already tired in the middle, how can we do it?
No problem, most of the tours are designed in a loop, so in case you get tired, you can return to base briefly at any time without any problems.
7) Can I drink alcohol?
The legal limit in Italy for alcohol intake is 0.5 grams/litre. The amount of alcohol intake is entrusted to the common sense of each of the participants. In general, during the tastings in the cellar the quantity of wine is low and containers are available to empty the glasses that you don't want to finish. If a participant is unable to continue a tour due to a clear state of impairment due to alcohol abuse, he will be automatically excluded from the tour without the right to a refund.
8) And what about the helmet?
The full-face helmet is ALWAYS mandatory during excursions and is ALWAYS supplied during a rental. If you have your own vehicle, make sure you bring it with you!!!
9) Can I take another person on the Quad? And a child?
Yes, all Quads are two-seater, so no problem. Children over 5 can legally join the tour but it is highly discouraged as they are unstable and have low physical stamina. We ask to participate with children of at least 10 years of age who will obviously be admitted under the supervision and responsibility of an adult.
10) I have my own Quad: can I take part in the tours?
Absolutely yes!!! If some members of the group or even the complete group have their own resources available, you can choose to leave directly from the starting point of a route designed by me.
F.A.Q. NCC
1) What is an NCC?
NCC stands for rental with driver, in short you rent a car with a driver who will drive the car for you.
2) Can I drive an NCC?
Absolutely not, only the driver, with the role of driver registered with the chamber of commerce of the province where he wants to carry out the activity, can drive the car which must necessarily be provided with a special municipal plate to be in order.
3) How much does an NCC tour cost?
The price varies according to the mileage and time of the tour, as well as the type of vehicle chosen based on the number of people and suitcases.
4) When is the NCC paid?
The Ncc must be booked and paid for in advance on a pre-established route right away, also so as not to have any surprises later.
5) What if I want to change the route when the tour is already running?
If the route gets shorter in mileage, that's no problem but you are not entitled to any refund. On the contrary, if you want to increase the mileage, you will have to pay a supplement based on the kilometers traveled.
6) We booked a car for 7 but there are only 5 of us, can we get a discount?
No, the rate changes only based on the type of car and not on the number of people, and it is possible to have a different rate only if the payment has not been made and a cheaper car is available.
7) Can I drink alcohol during the tour?
Certainly, the NCC is just for this! You won't have to worry about the alcohol limit as the driver will drive for you, and by law his limit is zero grams/litre. ATTENTION!!!
